Medical consent should be taken from the parents or other family members available at the time of treatment of a patient. That is very much important for the protection of doctors and hospital staff especially if anything goes wrong during the treatment.
Medical consent is compulsory under the law at most of the places. Even where it’s not a law all the professional hospitals take medical consent from the family of patient before treatment in order to have their own safety.
